South African steel imports plummet in August
South African imports of carbon and alloy steel products (excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire) declined 49.4% year-on-year in August to 74,956 tonnes, Kallanish learns from the South African Iron and Steel Institute. This figure was, however, up 22.6% on the previous month.
