Some steelmaking resumes in Linyi
Linyi Steel Group (also called Linyi Sande Special Steel) recently began some steelmaking after almost six months of complete shutdown. Linyi, based in eastern China’s Shandong province, became a test case for China’s environmental crackdown when around 8 million tonnes/year of steelmaking capacity was forced to suddenly shut down after years of flaunting emissions standards, Kallanish notes.
