Slovak steel output grows in February, but Czech Rep sees decline
Steel production experienced opposite fortunes in the Czech and Slovak Republics in February, with the former registering mostly declines while the latter reported growth.
Production of rolled steel products in the Czech Republic declined 0.2% year-on-year in February to 397,600 tonnes. Output of continuously cast semi-products decreased 3% that month to 383,080t, while pig iron production was down 3.7% to 317,700t.
