Sirjan Iranian Steel expands iron ore concentration capacity with new plant

Sirjan Iranian Steel Co. (Sisco) has commissioned its new 2 million tonnes/year iron ore concentration plant, Kallanish learns from parent company Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company (Midhco). Concentrate capacity has thus been expanded to 8m t/y. Last month Sisco commissioned its new 960,000 t/y “Bardsir” direct reduced iron plant (see Kallanish 12 February).
