Sinosteel set to build Kenyan steelworks
China’s state-owned trading house Sinosteel has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kenyan government to build a steelworks in the East African nation, local reports suggest. The move would be the latest in a series of Chinese investments in the country, and would add steelmaking to Sinosteel’s African mining and ferrochrome operations, Kallanish notes.
