Shougang Guiyang relocates, expands
Shougang Guiyang Special Steel (Guigang), a Shougang subsidiary in China's southwestern province of Guizhou, has hot tested an EAF at its new steelworks in Xiuwen country in Guiyang city, it says. This marks the first steel casting of a Yuan 1.3 billion ($211 million) relocation project, which will also triple capacity to 1.5 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
