Shigang launches Liaoning special bar mill
Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel (Shigang), part of Hebei Iron and Steel (Hegang) has launched a 700,000 tonnes/year special bar rolling mill at its Jingcheng subsidiary in Liaoning province’s Yingkou city, according to local media. The project marks a shift from flats production at the company, which Shigang hopes will pull the troubled project out of the mire, Kallanish notes.
