Shanxi coke plants face higher environmental charges
Coke makers in China’s Shanxi province will see their pollution fees double from 1 June, as well as seeing further punitive charges for excess emissions, Xinhua reports. The move follows coking being mentioned as a key target for an environmental crackdown this year and could impact global coke markets, Kallanish notes.
