Shanxi Jiaocheng commissions second phase of ferromanganese plant
Northern China’s Shanxi Jiaocheng Yiwang Ferroalloy plant commissioned its second phase on 22 July bringing total capacity to 160,000 tonnes/year, according to project contractor China Metallurgical Group (MCC).
The CNY 500 million ($82m) plant will produce 96,000 t/y of low carbon manganese, 44,000 t/y of high carbon ferromanganese and 20,000 t/y of silico-manganese for the local steel industry. The facilities include an EAF, a refining furnace, roast…
