Shandong Xinhai project loses government support
According to the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Xinhai’s 3.8 million tonnes/year stainless steel project was removed from the list of key projects in Shandong province on 5 June 2020, Kallanish notes. The project was selected into the list in June 2019, declaring Xinhai would expand its business from nickel production to stainless steel production (see Kallanish passim).
