Shagang exports surge, profit grows
Eastern China’s Shagang says it expects last year to have earned a net profit of Yuan 4.81 billion ($780 million) in 2014 on revenues of Yuan 248.54bn, increases of 8.99% and 55.5% year-on-year respectively. It also saw exports surge 50% y-o-y to 5.19 million tonnes during the year, according to the Suzhou Daily.
Shagang had earlier said that exports from its main plant at Zhangjiagang were up 72.4% y-o-y to 4.31mt in 2014. This did not include exports…
