Shagang commissions coilled rod line
Eastern China steelmaker Shagang has commissioned a new 5.5-13mm coiled rod line at its Rongsheng division in Zhangjiagang. The line will be fed by its recently commissioned 1.2 million tonnes/year 140mm square billet caster, Kallanish understands.
Project contractor China Metallurgical Group said the line had been completed on the afternoon of July 28. The line can produce cord steel, gear steel, bearing steel and 30MnSi as well as basic carbon steel grades…
