Sail plant receives certifications to supply shipbuilding steel
Steel Authority of India (Sail)’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has received approval from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Det Norske Veritas-Germanischer Lloyd (DNV-GL) to produce ship-building steel grades, Kallanish learns. This approval is for both ordinary as well as high strength grades of steel. RSP is already approved by Lloyds Register for producing LR grade plates.
