SMS Siemag revamps Xichang HR mill to increase plate output
German plantmaker, SMS Siemag is expanding the 2,050mm-wide hot strip mill at Xichang Steel, in China by adding a slab sizing press. This will enable Xichang, which is part of China’s PIETC Panzhihua Co, to increase its output and range of carbon steel plate, Kallanish understands.
