Amurmetall, Russia goes up for sale by auction
Steelmaker, Amurmetall, in Russia’s far East has been put up for auction by electronic bidding on 27 March, although bids should be received before 16.00 Moscow time on 25 March. It is hoped to sell the plant as a single lot in order to preserve production, according to Russian reports.
The auction has a Rbs 9.07 billion starting price ($145 million), and proceeds are expected to go to the bankrupt mill’s creditors, VTB, Sberbank of Russia, Gazpr…
