Billions to be spent in Mexico on pipeline development
A partial saviour for U.S. natural gas producers plagued by low natural gas prices is found south of the Rio Grande River.
Gas exports to Mexico more than doubled from 2010 to 2014, 900 million cubic feet/day (MMcf/d) to 2 billion cubic feet/day (Bcf/d), and averaged 2.5 Bcf/d in the first two months of 2015. This was up more than 40% from the previous January/February.
