Qatar leads way as ME crude steel output surges above world average in 2014
Crude steel production in the Middle East recorded far stronger growth in 2014 than any other of the world’s regions, Kallanish observes. According to the World Steel Association (worldsteel), output was up 7.9% year-on-year to 28.06 million tonnes, compared to a global average increase of only 1.1%.
