Prospective Kenyan steel mill seeks approval from authorities

Top Steel Kenya is seeking approval from authorities to establish a new 157,000 tonnes/year steel plant in Kwale Country near Mombasa, according to local press reports. The prospective mill’s main product would be thermo-mechanically treated bars for the local construction industry.
