Prospective Arkansas mill will double capacity in later expansion
Big River Steel’s new hot strip mill in Osceola, Arkansas, will have a 1.5 million tonnes/year capacity. This will later be increased to 3m t/y with the addition of a second casting stand, Kallanish learns from the plant’s German supplier, SMS Siemag.
