Korea's Posco walks away from Dongbu steel unit, Incheon
Shares in Posco have risen strongly on news that South Korea’s largest steelmaker has backed away from a deal to buy Incheon steelworks from domestic Dongbu Group. Posco had been carrying out due-diligence to take on the smaller steel company, together with Dongbu’s coal-fired thermal power plant in Dangjn.
