Posco sells Posfine for $27.5m
South Korea’s Posco has sold its slag powder subsidiary, Posfine for Won 30 billion ($27.5 million) to private equity fund Hahn & Co, according to local media. The move is part of a wider plan to restructure and cement Posco's place as the country’s preeminent steelmaker, which is being challenged by the rapid expansion of Hyundai Steel, Kallanish notes.
