Polish plate producer decides to restart meltshop to resolve slab shortage
Poland’s ISD Huta Czestochowa, part of Ukraine’s Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), plans to restart its electric arc furnace-based meltshop in the second half of November, Czestochowa's spokesman tells Kallanish. This comes after slab deliveries from ISD’s Alchevsk mill were discontinued due to electricity and raw materials shortages.
