Polish distributor sees 2015 demand growth, but limited price hikes after strong 2014
Grupa Polska Stal (GPS), Poland’s second-largest steel distributor by tonnage, expects a further increase in steel demand in 2015. It says however that price increases will be difficult due to depressed iron ore prices and increased competition from imports. This comes after the firm hiked sales 21% year-on-year in 2014 to 570,000 tonnes.
