Pakistan seamless pipemaker calls for duty alteration on competition from China
Pakistani pipemaker Huffaz Seamless Pipe Industries (HSPI) has asked the National Tariff Commission (NTC) to remove the duty on special steel billet imports and hike the tariff on seamless pipe imports to 25%. HSPI has also requested the removal of seamless pipe from the free trade agreement (FTA) between Pakistan and China, which stipulates a concessional tariff for China-origin imports.
