No coking coal price rebound seen in 2015, contrary to earlier forecasts
The average global price of coking in 2015 is likely to be lower than the $125/tonne level seen in 2014, contrary to earlier estimates that prices will rebound this year. So says Urszula Ozga-Blaschke from the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (MIN-PAN).
In January Goldman Sachs revised further downwards its average coking coal price forecast to $116/t in 2015 and $125-130/t in 2016-17.
