NMDC signs MoU for another new steelworks
NMDC has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jharkhand government to establish a 6 million tonnes/year capacity steelworks in the state, Kallanish learns from the Indian mines ministry.
The integrated steelworks, set up through the special purpose vehicle route, will require 3,000 acres of land and an assured reserve of 200mt of iron ore, according to steel and mines minister Narendra Singh Tomar.
