NLMK to produce iron briquettes from blast furnace waste
NLMK is going to construct a facility with an annual capacity of 700,000 tonnes of iron briquettes produced from blast furnace sludge at the company’s Lipetsk site, NLMK tells Kallanish.
The plant’s launch is scheduled for 2017. Investment in the project will total approximately RUB 2.3 billion ($42 million). The economic effect of ebitda is $25 million/year; and the pay-back period is approximately 2.5 years.
