Mongolian coking coal rail route opens
The railway from Mongolia's Tavan Tolgoi coal mine to Gashuunsukhait port is expected to be officially opened to traffic in mid-September. This will ensure a stable supply of up to 30 million tonnes/year of coal from Mongolia to China, Kallanish notes.
Construction of this railway started in December 2019, and the general contractor is Bodi International LLC.
