Middle East crude steel output growth slows in March but remains fastest in Q1
Crude steel production growth in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by the World Steel Association’s monthly report slowed to 1% year-on-year in March, Kallanish learns from worldsteel. The production totalling 2.37 million tonnes was mainly the result of the Iranian New Year’s holidays and Qatar Steel decommissioning two old electric arc furnaces.
