Mechel says Chelyabinsk steel plant is up for sale
Russia’s financially-troubled iron ore, coking coal, and steel group, Mechel is open to offers for its key Chelyabinsk steel plant (ChMK) to resolve its debt issue, according to Russian reports seen by Kallanish. Mechel’s ceo Oleg Korzhov made the comments to newspaper Vedomosti in an article that has also been posted on Mechel’s website.
