Mechel revenue falls 9% on-quarter in Q3, but domestic longs market improves
Russia’s Mechel has recorded a 9% quarter-on-quarter decrease in third-quarter revenue to $1.58 billion. Coking coal prices remained weak during the quarter, but the market for long products improved, with stronger prices domestically, Kallanish learns from the company. Net loss deepened to $575 million from $63m in Q2 due to foreign exchange loss during loan revaluation.
