Marx welcomes first Valemax to Dalian
Northern China’s Dalian port received on 13 August its first Valemax Very Largo Ore Carrier (VLOC), the port reports. The move is a further boost to Vale’s efforts to increase sales into China, as well as for the revamped STX Pan Ocean which operates the vessel, Kallanish notes.
The Sea Maranhao is 403,844 deadweight tonnes, according to VesselFinder, and was built in 2013. The ship was welcomed to the port by the city’s vie mayor…
