Magang sells autosheet to Spain
Eastern China’s Ma’anshan Iron and Steel (Magang) has delivered its first cold rolled autosheet to a carmaker in Europe it says. The 380 tonnes sent to Spain are a small beginning but is a sign of the heavy investment in Chinese automotive steel capacity. It is also an indication of the importance of finding new markets if Chinese steelmakers are to succeed through the downturn, Kallanish notes.
