MMK increases plate shipments to pipemaker ChTPZ to record levels
Russia’s Magnitogorsk (MMK) says it increased its steel shipments to Chelyabinsk tubemaking group, ChTPZ by nearly 100,000 tonnes, or 20%, in 2014. “This marks a record year in our co-operation”, the Russian giant says in a press release sent to Kallanish.
The steelmaker’s flat product deliveries to ChTPZ in 2014 totalled 570,000t, of which over 460,000t was supplied by MMK’s relatively new Mill-5000, which produces wide plate. In…
