MMK aims to take 33% of Russian coated strip market in 2015
Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) boosted its coated strip production by 12% last year compared to 2013, to a record 1.3 million tonnes. Output of galvanized sheet grew by a larger 17%, although colour-coated material remained at the previous year’s level, according to a statement from the Russian mill.
MMK’s strategy is to continue to strengthen its position in the Russian market, notes senior group manager for regional sales Andrei Titov.…
