Iran could be perfect green steelmaker: Midrex’s Ames
Iran could be the perfect location for green steelmaking if it invests into solar power production, according to Midrex key account manager Todd Ames.
“For green steelmaking, the most key component is the iron-making side of it; that’s where the carbon bearing is introduced, CO2 emissions from either coal or natural gas are incorporated,” Ames explained at this week’s Kallanish Flat Steel 2021 conference.
