Nucor's Louisiana DRI plant running at 95% capacity after restart
Since restarting at the end of the first quarter, Nucor’s DRI facility in Louisiana has produced more than 400,000 tons and is maintaining an operating rate of over 95% capacity, Kallanish reports.
A Nucor spokeswoman confirmed that the Nucor Steel Louisana plant has been running smoothly and consistently since its restart. The plant had been shut down in November 2014 due to issues with a process gas heater.
