China's Longteng commissions 120t converter
China’s Longteng Special Steel has commissioned a second 120-tonne basic oxygen converter at its plant in Changshu in the eastern province of Jiangsu, project contractor Huatian Engineering & Technology Corporation MCC says. The plant plans to commission two ladle furnaces, a vacuum degasser and a new six-strand bloom caster by the end of the year, the contractor adds.
