Liepajas Metalurgs restarts EAF, begins rebar exports to Europe
Latvian rebar producer KVV Liepajas Metalurgs (KVVLM) has restarted its 1.3 million tonnes/year electric arc furnace meltshop after a two-year hiatus, a company spokesperson tells Kallanish. It is sourcing scrap feedstock from local supplier Tolmets.
