Liepajas Metalurgs idles EAF on 'uncompetitive' electricity price
Latvian rebar producer KVV Liepajas Metalurgs (KVVLM) has temporarily idled its recently-restarted electric arc furnace meltshop owing to electricity costs that make production uncompetitive, the firm tells Kallanish.
