Liepajas Metalurgs gets scrap for May EAF restart, surpasses 50,000t rebar output
Latvian rebar producer KVV Liepajas Metalurgs (KVVLM) has exceeded 50,000 tonnes of rebar output since it restarted in February its rolling mill for the first time since 2013, a KVVLM spokesperson tells Kallanish. The firm plans to relaunch its 1.3 million tonnes/year electric arc furnace meltshop and second rebar mill next month.
