Liepajas Metalurgs books billet for February rebar mill restart
Latvian rebar producer KVV Liepajas Metalurgs (KVVLM) will resume output at its rolling mill in February following the completion of its takeover by Ukrainian scrap merchant KVV, a company official tells Kallanish.
The producer has booked 30,000 tonnes of billet to feed output at its 680,000 tonnes/year rebar mill. The 1.3 million t/y electric arc furnace meltshop is set to resume output in March. Once production at the EAF is ramped up, KVVLM plans to …
