Liberia grants Severstal iron ore license for Puto
The Liberian government has granted Severstal a license to mine iron ore in the Putu mountain range, Kallanish learns. The license has been granted to Putu Iron Ore Mining Company Inc (PIOM) a 100%-subsidiary of Severstal, the Russian parent adds.
This means the Monrovia government, through its ministry of lands, mines and energy has approved the feasibility study, which Severstal submitted late March 2014.
