Lanzatech grows commercial scale ethanol production from steelmaking waste gases
Lanzatech, which has developed proprietary technology to produce ethanol from carbon monoxide in steelmaking waste gases, is starting to move to commercial scale plants with projects in mainland China and in Taiwan. The first 20,000 tonnes/year plant is due to break ground before Chinese New Year in February 2015 at Baosteel’s Shaoguan Iron and Steel in Guangdong province, Lanzatech tells Kallanish.
