Kryvyi Rih output very stable despite Ukraine conflict
ArcelorMittal’s Ukrainian operations, Kryvyi Rih recorded slightly lower output for August, with year-on-year levels for the first eight months also down, but by a lesser extent.
The longs producer melted 467,000 tonnes of hot metal last month compared to 492,000t in August 2013. Crude steel output slipped from 562,000t to 524,000 in the same comparison, while rolled production dipped 6,000t to 482,000t, the company tells Kallanish.
