Chinas Jinchuan signs key nickel supply deal
Chinese nickel supplier, Jinchuan Group, has signed a 26,000 tonnes/year nickel concentrate off-take deal with Australian miner Western Areas. The news is a blow to BHP Billiton, which was hoping to use the concentrate to feed its Nickel West smelter, which Jinchuan had previously been said to be interested in buying.
