AST, Italy gets another month of talks in bid to avoid job cuts
Italy’s minister for economic development Federica Guidi has brought about another stay of execution concerning ThyssenKrupp’s (TK) plans to restructure its stainless steel operation, Acciai Speciali Terni (AST). The agreement came on 4 September after 15 hours of negotiations in Rome where Guidi also met with the trade unions and officials from the Terni province and Umbria region.
