Italian tubes increases hold in July, German demand down

Smaller Italian re-rollers are following the price increases announced in June by Marcegaglia and Padana Tubi. This is backing the €30-40/tonne ($33-44/t) hike on old price lists on welded tubes and confirms it as a structural surge for July. According to market sources interviewed by Kallanish, the current higher quotations for welded tubes should last in Italy until the end of July.
