Italian merchant bar prices weaken
July quotations for Italian merchant bars have lost €10/tonne ($11/t) due to sluggish demand, Kallanish hears from market sources. Italian merchant bar prices are on the level of French and German suppliers.
However, a move to increase price extras is both expected and hoped for in the country for July contracts. Local producer Beltrame meanwhile has not yet announced any increases, sources reveal.
