Italy's Trafilerie del Lario goes up for auction
The bankruptcy court in Lecco, Italy has published a notice of auction for the troubled wire manufacturer, Trafilerie del Lario, Kallanish learns from the Italian ministry of justice.
The base price for the acquisition of the Lecco-based rolling mill, which comprises a range of wire drawing lines and four heat treatment furnaces, is €4.5 million ($5m). Up to 2014, the group manufactured stainless steel wire in diameters from 0.20mm to 4.00mm.
